Many academic institutions consider attendance at these championships as a prerequisite to attain Elite Athlete Categorization.

Benefits of this categorization will differ between institutions, however it is interesting to note, entities such as QUT offer “adjustment schemes” – see here as an example

2025 National Age Swimming Championships

The 2025 National Age Championships are the highest level of domestic competition for athletes aged 18 years and under.

The Championships are being held at the Sleeman Aquatic Centre, providing a unique opportunity for our athletes to compete at one of our most familiar venues, and in close proximity to most MBS homes

Parent Workshop - Low Energy Availability and Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport

MBS Health Professional Network Member Ali Disher (Sports Dietitian) will be holding a parents’ workshop next week at Age Championships on Low Energy Availability and Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport, as a part of the Body Empowerment initiative, to continue to raise awareness and support in this space.

The workshop is free, and all parents/supporters are welcome to attend – it’s at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre.
