Meet Report from Coach Kevin

Congratulations to all the MBS swimmers who competed at the 2024 Brisbane Open Water Championships held in Coolum on the Sunshine Coast! This year’s event was a tremendous success, marked by outstanding performances from our athletes.

The MBS team has a tradition of using this event as a key team-building experience. The swimmers travel together by bus, offering them a chance to support and cheer each other on, which fosters a strong sense of camaraderie. This year, we were fortunate with fantastic weather, making the event even more enjoyable. As the first major meet in the Long Course Preparation phase, it served as an excellent benchmark for our athletes and tested their resilience in a different environment.
