School Swimming

The Queensland Girls Secondary Schools Sports Association (QGSSSA) and the Queensland Girls Primary Independent Schools, Andrews Cup Association (Andrews Cup) are both associations of schools.

Both QGSSSA and Andrews Cup aim to provide member schools with opportunities to equip young women to meet and enjoy life’s challenges. To achieve this aim, the Associations seek to provide quality sporting opportunities and social interaction within a school environment, balancing  performance, participation, tradition and innovation.

Moreton Bay College girls wishing to participate as part of the QGSSSA or Andrews Cup swimming programme are asked to attend a number of training events throughout Term 4 and 1 of each year.

The final MBC Swimming Teams are selected from swimmers performances achieved at various qualification events, conducted throughout the year.
